Call 2 Recyle
Be Greener with Comptick!
Recycling as most people know, is no longer a luxury, hundreds or millions of rechargeable batteries are retired each year. We live on a planet with limited resources and limited space : responsibility is called for in dealing with the by-products of our super-convenient and high tech lifestyles.
Comptick has launched it’s Battery recycling program in conjuction with the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC ). The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) is a non-profit, public service organization dedicated to rechargeable battery recycling. This is a new venture which we hope will create an easy way for our customers to recycle any old unusable rechargeable batteries that you have lying around the house as well as your old laptop battery.
An old worn out battery is only good for the trash can –they need to be disposed of safely. We need to reiterate that we do not use old batteries here at Comptick – we only sell brand new batteries. Founded by the rechargeable battery industry in 1994, RBRC’s mission is to promote the recycling of used rechargeable batteries found in many cordless electronic consumer products such as, cellular and cordless phones, laptop computers, cordless power tools, camcorders, and two-way radios. In pursuit of its mission, RBRC also collects old cell phones.
Comptick is now an authorized recycling center for RBRC and when you place your order for a new battery you can order a mailing label to send your batteries to us here at Comptick for a subsidized cost. We ask for a contribution of $2.50 from you the customer and we pay the rest of the shipping cost, usually another $2.50 minimum. Just select the box for the Battery Recycle Green Envelope and we will take care of it and get the batteries safely disposed of and back to RBRC! Helping you to protect our environment as well as enjoy the benefits of our modern technological devices
